CBS reduction is known to give > 98% enantiomeric excess in keto reductions. A New Ligand is proposed which is easy to make. This has 2 additional coordinating heteroatoms. This may be a better ligand?

It has 2 more coordinating hetero atoms in the active site. This might deliver better result. There is also 2 chiral centres which might be better. |
